With Mountain biking becoming increasingly popular in Ireland and with the development of a purpose-built mountain bike track just outside of Oughterard in County Galway, more and more people are trying their hand at Mountain biking and adventure sports. Derroura Mountain Bike Trail is suitable for both the novice mountain biker as well as the more experienced rider. The trail offers great climbs, fast descents, many narrow gravel single tracks and several narrow twisting board walks.

The trail is 17km long with incredible views over looking both Lough Corrib and Connemara. The start and finish of the trail are at the same point at the car park. Free parking is available.
